My interest in the mechanics of the body and its efficient functioning began at a very young age when I played Squash at a National level. Being one of just three junior squash players to be selectedfor fitness testing at the British Olympic Medical Testing Centre in Harrow also opened my eyes to biomechanics and encouraged me to develop my skills so that I could one day help other people attain a greater level of health and performance.

When I was 18 I was in a car crash that left me with whiplash. A few years later, the changes that developed in my cervical spine (neck) caused me such great pain that I had to stop exercising andcould no longer continue my desk job. Every area of my life was soon affected and the tablets the doctor prescribed were not helping. He referred me for x-rays on the NHS that (worryingly) came back normal. After 4 months of agony, he tried to prescribe me antidepressants.

I first saw Sam for a tight lower back that was continuously bothering me as I sat at my desk. I was impressed at how thorough he was and how quickly he got to the root at the problem, also solving myheadaches along the way. I had been suffering from them for the past 2 years and had assumed that it was just something I would learn to live with. I will continue to see Sam for any future problems and feel safe in his care.
