Massage is a therapy with records dating back to Egyptian times some 4,000 years ago. Evidence has also been found in ancient civilizations that include Roman, Greek, Indian, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. At Wandee's we concentrate our therapies based on oriental massage techniques. Indeed, Thai massage (Nuat phaen Thai) is a fusion of Indian and Chinese massage styles and these are reflected in the treatments that we offer. Thai massage uses a combination of 'presses' and 'yoga stretches' to improve the body both physically and mentally.
Using these actions therapists manipulate the 'sen' lines (pathways) that radiate throughout the body. Whilst massage is invariably a relaxing experience problems may arise if customers have a condition which has not been disclosed. We therefore recommend that customers advise our staff of any such conditions prior to treatment commencing. If at any time during your treatment you feel any discomfort please make your therapist aware of it.
