Oriental medicine involves a range of techniques including massage, acupuncture and herbal remedies. Acupuncture, massage and structural alignment techniques are used separately or entwined in onesession, depending on what will get the best results and is acceptable to the client. For example, if someone doesn't want needles, alternative techniques can be applied.
Greenwich Me Time is run by Susan Mawdsley, a fully qualified massage therapist with 20 years experience in bodywork, specializing in deep tissue massage. Susan has trained in a range of techniquesfrom traditional Swedish massage to sports and remedial and pre/post natal massage. Having practiced over 20 years in various clinics, health clubs and gyms Susan is now freelance but based in her Blackheath treatment rooms within the comfort of her own home.
Liz is an experienced massage therapist, having obtained a BTEC level 4 and ITEC level 3 in holistic massage at Essentials for Health in 2009. She has since trained in deep tissue massage, shiatsu andremedial techniques including soft tissue release, and neuromuscular techniques and is currently completing her studies in Sports and Remedial massage at the world renowned NLSSM (North London School of Sports Massage) to BTEC level 5. She also holds a certificate in First Aid for Sport.
